Database Administrator (DBA) & Operations Engineer

About the Role

As a Database Administrator and Operations Engineer, you will keep the platform stable, observable, and ready for scale. You will work across database performance, system reliability, operational automation, and incident readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain database performance, backups, and reliability.
• Support operations and engineering teams with incident response and root cause analysis.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure and deployment tasks where it adds clear value.
• Help define practical operational standards for a growing product team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of engineering experience focused on infrastructure or database operations.
• Deep familiarity with PostgreSQL or a similar relational database.
• Ability to investigate incidents, spot performance issues, and implement safe fixes.
• Strong ownership mindset with clear communication under operational pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with monitoring, backups, and operational tooling in production systems.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, incident response, and performance tuning.
• Background supporting fintech or other high-availability environments.
