About the Role
As a Facial Recognition Algorithm Engineer, you will contribute to the systems that make Smartbright identity and verification workflows more resilient. You will work on model integration, performance, and deployment quality for real production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve facial recognition integration and supporting logic in the verification stack.
- Evaluate model quality, edge cases, and operational constraints.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams on performance and rollout.
- Document implementation tradeoffs and integration assumptions clearly.
Requirements
- Strong Python or TypeScript engineering background with production delivery experience.
- Practical understanding of computer vision models and evaluation workflows.
- Ability to profile accuracy, latency, and failure cases in production systems.
- Comfort working in an iterative contract engagement with clear milestones.
Nice to Have
- Experience with computer vision, embeddings, or biometric verification pipelines.
- Background shipping ML-enabled systems into production environments.
- Understanding of privacy, bias, and reliability concerns in identity workflows.
